Some dresses wait for candlelight. This is one of them — deep velvet the color of midnight, printed with faded florals in brown, slate-blue, and dusk, so it reads rich and quiet rather than loud.

It's cut to move with you, not cling to you. The bodice is fitted to a true waist, then the skirt releases and pours to the floor — velvet with real weight, so it skims the stomach and falls away at the hip instead of gripping. The line it draws is long, defined, and unmistakably hourglass.

The sleeves are the moment: fitted down the forearm, then opening into flared cuffs edged in scalloped lace that catch the light when you reach for your glass. The flare sits below the elbow, so it stays clear of the table and out of your way. The same lace whispers at the hem. The stand neckline and long sleeves cover you completely — elegant, warm against restaurant air-conditioning, and simple to wear over your own bra.
