Our story

the hour we grew up in

We're Charleston girls. Which means we grew up knowing that the best hour of the day is the one almost nobody's awake for.

Six in the morning, June. The heat hasn't arrived yet. The garden is still wet and the jasmine is at its loudest, the light comes up gold over the rooftops, and for about an hour the whole city belongs to whoever bothered to get up for it.

Our grandmothers were out in it. Our mothers were out in it — coffee in hand, hair not done, in linen that had been washed a hundred times and looked better for it. Nobody was performing. Everybody looked wonderful.

That's the hour we're trying to put in a dress.

what Charleston teaches you about getting dressed

Nothing stiff survives here. By July the air is thick enough to swim through, and anything structured, synthetic or fussy gives up by ten in the morning.

So Charleston women learned a long time ago: wear linen, wear it loose, let it wrinkle, don't apologise for it. Add gold hoops and flat sandals and go. It reads as elegance, but it started as common sense.

We didn't invent any of this. We just grew up inside it — and we couldn't find it anywhere at a price that made sense.

so we made it

Easy linen you can pull on half-awake and still be wearing at dinner. Flattering shapes for a body that's lived a little. Real lengths, honest fabric, nothing that needs ironing before you can leave the house.

Everything begins here: the light, the fabrics, the way a dress moves when the air is still heavy from the night before. Beautiful things, honestly priced — because no woman we grew up around ever believed looking lovely should cost a fortune.

growing the way we were raised to

Slowly. Honestly. One beautiful piece and one happy woman at a time — with easy 30-day returns and real people who answer when you write.

dawn belongs to you

You don't have to live in Charleston to have that hour. It happens everywhere, every single morning, whether you're on the coast or in your own kitchen — and it belongs to you before it belongs to anyone else.

So wherever this summer takes you: pack the linen, take the morning, and let the day start slowly.
