The Bethany is a garden-hour shirtdress built around a single hand-drawn folk scene — a sun that tips its face toward you, horses caught mid-gallop, strange and lovely flowers climbing a soft meadow-green ground. It is a lot of story, and that is the point: one hero composition, framed and centered, with your collarbone bare and a calm green field around it, so you read as a woman in a beautiful dress — never a woman in a costume.
It reads as art and wears like a favorite summer linen. The cloth is fine and airy — genuinely breathable, cool through July, the kind of linen that softens a little more with every wash and only looks better for it. Full blouson sleeves mean real coverage for fierce restaurant air-conditioning and long golden-hour dinners, without the heat you'd brace for; linen is doing the quiet work there.
The shape does the rest. A true point collar and full button placket close right where you want them, with a button set at the bust line rather than a gap straddling it. The self-tie belt cinches to your natural waist, so the eye finds your shape first and the scene second. Sleeves and lighter panels are airy enough to catch the light — slip a cami beneath if you like a little more between you and the day.
